And what a better way to kick off than speaking about a month dedicated to the health of men - <a href="http://uk.movember.com/?home" target="_blank">Movember</a>.<br /><br />In their own words <a href="http://uk.movember.com/?home" target="_blank"><b>Movember</b></a> (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health. <a href="http://uk.movember.com/about/" target="_blank"><strong>Movember - a global movement</strong></a><br />Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.9 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate with formal campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Czech Republic. In addition, Movember is aware of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas supporting the campaign and men’s health causes across the globe, from Russia to Dubai, Hong Kong to Antarctica, Rio de Janeiro to Mumbai, and everywhere in between.<br /><br />When I met James he was out promoting Movember and Gillette with their "<a href="http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/news/gillette-prepares-movember-campaign/4004314.article" target="_blank">The best a Mo can get campaign</a>". They have a pop up shop at 10 Newburgh Street, London, W1F 7RN Visitors will be given tips on how to style their moustache, and a luxury shaving experience, plus lots of other events happening during Movember. So guys if you fancy a bit of pampering and styling tips as you grow your Mo pop along and say hello. (This is not a sponsored post, just being a MoSister).<br /><br />James is a model, his surprise for us is that he is a fully licensed racing driver. His favourite place in London is Brick Lane. A few weeks ago I put out a call for guys to come forward who were growing their tashes for Movember. I got an email straight away from the lovely Debs from <a href="http://www.mhpc.com/">MHP</a> telling me that 10 of the guys from the agency were growing Movember MOustashes. On the day of the shoot only 3 could make it. It was great to meet Greg. Guy and Mike sporting their Movember tashes. Since then however I have personally known a lot of men, uncles, in-laws, neighbours and friends who have fought the battle with prostrate cancer. Out of 8 only 2 are still alive. I have been wanting to do something in their honor for quite some time and it was wonderful to be sitting beside someone I could offer my services to.<br />It is great that the guys have a month dedicated to them now, like breast cancer the statistics are difficult reading<br /><u><b>UK Latest Messaging</b></u> <br /><ul><li>One man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK.</li><li>Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. </li><li>In the UK 35,000 men are diagnosed every year, this is the equivalent of 100 per day.</li><li>Prostate cancer diagnoses have increased by 60% over the past ten years.</li><li>In the UK men have a 1 in 11 lifetime risk of getting prostate cancer</li></ul>Do any of you lovely readers know any guys growing moustaches this month?
