Rosie is a Creative Director and has been with the agency since its start up 26 years ago. She was amazed when she thought about it, she has grown up with them. Rosie has been in London since she was 18 when she went to St Martins. When she at art school she said she used to dress in 50's vintage with a touch of New Romantic as it suited her shape. It also allowed her to be creative with what she wore and allowed her individuality. Rosie still has a strong sense of what she likes and what she knows suits her. For example she knows wide leg trousers and loose waistlines are out as she says they make her look fat. Her style choices are not faddy but are fashion conscious. Rosie has a few surprising things. To start with she has 2 teenage sons. To keep fit she likes to fence (I would love to learn to do this too). She is gregarious and fun loving but hates being the center of attention and is genuinely happy walking the dog on the beach. <br />Here she is wearing a jacket from <a href="http://www.chloe.com/#/en">Chloe</a>, shirt from <a href="http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/home/uk/en/zara-sales">Zara</a>, trousers from <a href="http://www.hm.com/entrance.ahtml?orguri=/">Hennes</a> and very cool boots from <a href="http://www.gucci.com/uk/home">Gucci</a>. Surprisingly she speaks Russian and once lived in Siberia. Now I can share with you some of what I have been up to. I was asked by the Ad agency <a href="http://www.bartleboglehegarty.com/">BBH</a> to photograph some of their best dressed ladies for their company meeting. It was brilliant to put this together for them and in my own style too. It has been very exciting for me. This the 1st of 2 Rosie's I photographed. This Rosie is originally from Texas, but started her career in LA and then NYC. She works as a Creative Director and has been in London with BBH for a year and a half, but is off soon to work in Amsterdam. She spends her week in London but for now lives in Paris at the weekend. She told me her style is influenced by her French boyfriend. Surprisingly she also plays the cello.<br />Here she is wearing a coat by <a href="http://www.moncler.com/">Moncler</a>, leggings from <a href="http://www.my-wardrobe.com/current-elliot/the-legging-538107">Elliot</a> which she bought in NYC. It is so cold my camera keeps stopping and I have to take the battery out and warm it up under my arm before even <i>it</i> wants to play again. This has never happened before. It makes me respect my fellow photographers who work in even colder climes. My hat is well and truly off to you. Respect. Mind you it is all worth while as the people I meet are just so brilliant and giving. It is always so good to hear peoples stories. I never know just who I have stopped. Today it turned out that Cleo is the editor of <a href="http://www.recognisemagazine.co.uk/home.html">Recognise magazine.</a> Take a look, looks pretty cool to me. However it is not the only string to her bow as she also works for the boxer <a href="http://www.hayemaker.com/">David Haye.</a> When I asked her what her style influence was she told me Morticia from the Adams Family - she loves to wear black. Here she is wearing a scarf from Portobello Market. The leather jacket belongs to a friend. The black bobbly cardy over the top of the leather is from <a href="http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?storeId=12556&catalogId=33057">Topshop</a>. He was in London for 10 days, for inspiration and to find lots of different looks. He told me that from his perspective each of the big European cities have their own unique look and feel. Paris is black, Milan is colour and London is a combination of both and is also funky. His own style is either casual or extreme depending on his mood. It was a cold day, so casual was obviously winning. His surprise and I guess phobia too is rabbits - no rabbit fur for him then. His hat he bought in Paris but can't remember where from. Sweater is <a href="http://www.hm.com/gb/#/start/">H&M</a>, jeans are by <a href="http://www.marcjacobs.com/">Marc Jacobs</a>, boots are <a href="http://www.gucci.com/uk/home">Gucci</a>, bag <a href="http://www.balenciaga.com/">Balenciaga</a> and the shades are <a href="http://www.ray-ban.com/uk">Ray Ban</a>. The amazing chunky bracelet is by <a href="http://www.givenchy.com/">Givenchy</a>, his watch is a <a href="http://www.swatch.com/">Swatch</a> and his ring was custom made and is his name in Arabic.

For our surprise today Claire told me she ran the <a href="http://www.saharamarathon.co.uk/">Sahara Marathon</a> earlier this year. Now that is a marathon and a half. It is 240km over 11 days - and in the desert. Is this the world most extreme race?

Arlinda from <a href="http://www.mandpmodels.com/html/portfolio.php?key=1036">M&P</a><br />was in great form. She had just arrived back from Paris and was in a very good mood. The casting was close by so we walked there together and chatted as we went. I shot these just outside. I noticed while we were walking that she had a black cross on the back of her jacket, which looked quite cool, even though it was only done with duck tape. She said she had been bored one day and had started to do it on the back of the other models jackets too. She then said she met <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giles_Deacon">Giles Deacon</a> who like them as well. Wonder if he will use the inspiration? Arlinda is not just a pretty face though, she told me she has just graduated from doing an interior architecture course. Her scarf is from <a href="http://www.thegap.co.uk/?tid=gups000196&kwid=1&ap=7&sem=true&mkwid=DEKyTJf5&adid=tnc&creative=7923023026">Gap</a>. The shirt is from a charity shop. Finally she picked up her bag at Vogue's fashion night out. Oh and as I was rewriting my notes she came back out of the casting and told me she had got the job.

She would like to knit little leg warmer type things for Leon so that when she is carrying him in his sling they close the gap that happens between his trousers and socks to keep him warm and toasty. A few weeks ago I put out a call for guys to come forward who were growing their tashes for Movember. Ana is originally from Brazil and is the Executive Director of her own company <a href="http://www.showroomonelondon.com/">Showroom One London</a> which represents accessory brands. For her own style she told me she lives in heels and usually dresses. When she wears trousers like today it is for comfort only. When I asked her to tell me something surprising she said 'I am 40, have been married 4 times, have 2 businesses and 2 grown up children in their 20's'. Yep that was quite a lot of surprises. Ana is wearing a coat from <a href="http://www.jaeger.co.uk/">Jaeger</a>, belted with a vintage belt she has had for 20years. Her shoes are of course <a href="http://www.christianlouboutin.com/#/intro">Louboutin</a> hence the red flash I spotted....her bag is <a href="http://www.chanel.com/">Chanel</a>, I forgot to ask about her trousers. She picked up her cool bangle from an accessory retailer in Poland St 2 weeks ago for a fiver.

Like myself she is originally from Belfast and has lived in London since April (I've been here a bit longer....). Prior to the move south she did her fashion degree at De Montford and was then a buyer for <a href="http://www.next.co.uk/">Next</a>. Her colourful ensemble consists of a scarf from <a href="http://www.hm.com/">H&M</a> (I would like one of these), coat by <a href="http://www.gharanistrok.co.uk/">Gharani Strok</a>, dress and shoes by <a href="http://www.viviennewestwood.co.uk/">Vivienne Westwood</a>, tights from <a href="http://www.peacocks.co.uk/home/index.jsp?cid=search0006&s_kwcid=search0006&gclid=CPbB6ZL5tKUCFQkf4QodhlDnYQ">Peacocks</a> and a vintage bag. She is also a hair model for <a href="http://www.aveda.co.uk/">Aveda</a> - Gina Conway from there did her hair. Her surprise is that she has about 15 different tattoo's on her body. They only visable one today (if I have done a back shot) was on the back of her leg.

She says 'I generally think that British girls dress better than anybody else in the western world and would rather have inspiration from style on the streets of London as opposed to looking at an American celebrity.' Saying that, on the celeb front she does like Jamie Wistone's style as she see her as a bit of a chamelion. This beautiful coat of hers was bought from an independent designer who has a stall on Portobello market. She couldn't remember the name of the designer though. Her trousers are from <a href="http://www.reissonline.com/">Reiss</a>, her sweater is a hand me down from her grandma, shoes are <a href="http://www.primark.co.uk/">Primark</a> and headband is from <a href="http://claires.co.uk/">Claires</a>. She told me when she was little every time her mum went to take a picture of her she would pull a funny face. (I have a nephew like this.) She now wishes she had pictures of her young self just being herself. Surprisingly Max Clifford bought her lunch once.

Amazingly she is originally from London but is now a fresher at Worcester College Oxford, where she is studying English. Her clothing choices are based on what is comfortable and what she likes. At the moment it is anything warm. She told me that once when she was 15 and on work experience at a law court the Judge mistook her for the wife of a criminal - obviously the Judge misjudged her. I would have imagined that would have felt quite scary for her 15 year old self. I loved her use of blue. I am amazed I got her in focus. For any of you who know about photography I was shooting on 1000 iso at a 15th of a sec. I normally find a 30th of a sec as good as it gets for me when hand holding and would ideally be shooting on 100 iso. It is a very grainy shot as a result. (OK technical bit over now.) Sophie is from Switzerland but is living in Italy at the moment. In January she will move back to the UK to Oxford write her PHD in Ancient Greek. Smart cookie hey. Also talented. When I asked her to tell me something surprising she told me she was also a dancer and actress. Her style influences are iconic actresses from the 50's. She likes simple classical forms and bright colours. Saying that 'the special thing would be the colour'. She is a London lass and loves the city and her job. Saying that, she has been given the opportunity to go and live and work in NYC for 2 months from January. Lucky her is all I can say, another great city for her to go to and experience. Sophie loves film and told me that she will go to the cinema at least once a week. When she is putting her looks together she said she likes vintage clothes best, 'that way I don't look like everyone else'. She will mix her vintage finds with high street though and likes both <a href="http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?storeId=12556&catalogId=33057">Topshop</a> and <a href="http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/worldwide">Zara</a>. We talked about her hair up style and how current it is. She did realise but her main reason for doing it was to give her hair a rest from constant straightening. Her look today is mostly vintage as her bag, coat and jumper are all from vintage stores. Isn't her bag amazing. Since then however I have personally known a lot of men, uncles, in-laws, neighbours and friends who have fought the battle with prostrate cancer. Out of 8 only 2 are still alive. I have been wanting to do something in their honor for quite some time and it was wonderful to be sitting beside someone I could offer my services to.<br />It is great that the guys have a month dedicated to them now, like breast cancer the statistics are difficult reading<br /><u><b>UK Latest Messaging</b></u> <br /><ul><li>One man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK.</li><li>Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. </li><li>In the UK 35,000 men are diagnosed every year, this is the equivalent of 100 per day.</li><li>Prostate cancer diagnoses have increased by 60% over the past ten years.</li><li>In the UK men have a 1 in 11 lifetime risk of getting prostate cancer</li></ul>Do any of you lovely readers know any guys growing moustaches this month? When I spotted Marian she was working. I was walking along the street across the road from where she works when I spotted her. She works for <a href="http://lucyindisguiselondon.com/">Lucy in Disguise</a> in Covent Garden and has been working there since the shop opened a month ago. Marian has an amazing look not a bit of wonder it pulled me across the street. She is originally from Estonia but has been living in the UK for a year and a half now. She says her style is casual and that she doesn't really buy things, they just come to her. Her make-up influence is colour which she loves, along with the ethnic look, which is right on trend right now. All the magazines this month seem to be showing us the nomad look. Her hat is vintage from Pakistan, early 60's. Her sweater and bird ring were presents and her leggings and boots are from charity shops. When I asked her to tell me something surprising about herself she said she is just one big surprise all over.

He gets his style inspiration from vintage clothes, the street, hiphop, urban, and a 60's 70's crossover. For his jewelery design inspiration he looks to architecture, the V&A and everyday life. He likes meld the old with the new. He told me he likes to get lost, that he feels safe in it, it gives him a sense freedom. That it is like treasure hunting. For our shot today he is wearing a hat by <a href="http://www.episode.co.uk/">Episode</a>, scarf and sweater from a shop in Amsterdam called Orange (can't find them), jacket from Portobello market, trousers from Bangkok and he had just bought his <a href="http://www.nike.com/nikeos/p/nike/language_select/">Nike</a>'s from <a href="http://www.offspring.co.uk/">Offspring</a> which is were his bag is from.

Firstly her hair isn't it amazing. When we spoke about it she said 'it is my gift. I love it'. She is a character in so many ways. I met her when I went to have a haircut. She was working her inner Alice (in Wonderland) on the day. Amazingly I didn't have my camera with me at the time so I arranged to meet up with her again to shoot. Abigail is still at school and doing her GCSE's. Next stop performing arts college, she is going to be an actress. She certainly has the imagination and flair for it. Her favourite director is Tim Burton and her dream for now is to work with him. She would also love to do musicals as she sings as well. Judy Garland being another hero. Her style for each day varies on how she feels when she wakes up. Today we have 50's glam as she woke feeling classic and elegant. Her look is made up of vintage hat, gloves and bag. The dress is from a charity shop. Shoes are Primark and socks Topshop. As I said earlier when I met her she was Alice but she also likes to be the Mad Hatter too. She says it is all just a different part of her and that 'I have multiple personality disorder in my wardrobe.' For Halloween she went to a party with her boyfriend as Sweeny Todd and Mrs Lovitt. For her work experience she worked for the Kings Head theater in Islington and they gave her the costume as a present. She told me it was really heavy and had a tight corset but hey in the name of fashion she love's to wear it. In June/July time she went with her Mum and a friend to see the musical Hair. She said it changed her life and really hope's one day to help with the movement for peace, 'I really, really believe in peace'.

He was wearing an <a href="http://www.aquascutum.com/">Aquascutum</a> mac when we started the shoot, but the salmon cardy was too good miss out on so he kindly braved the cool day and the shoot without it. Ravi is 2nd generation Mauritian and of course he still has family there. The last time he visited was 4 years ago for his brothers wedding who was the only sibling to get married in the traditional Hindu way. Ravi's wife is Greek and family is very important to both of them. He told me  his Dad is his style inspiration 'he is so dapper. He is from an era where everyone dressed well (the 60's)'. When he looks at his Dads wedding photos from back then he loves the grey tapered suit and skinny tie he was wearing. Ravi is one of the most positive people I have ever met. He is upbeat and happiness just radiates from him. His philosophy in life is 'be good and good things will happen'. Great philosophy. I totally agree with him on this. Today he is wearing a <a href="http://www.uniqlo.com/uk/">Uniqlo</a> cardy, <a href="http://www.aquascutum.com/">Aquascutum</a> shirt, <a href="http://www.dunhill.com/">Dunhill</a> tie, <a href="http://www.reissonline.com/">Reiss</a> trousers and vintage shoes. While we were chatting Ravi said 'my birthday is next week' when I asked him when he said the 2nd. So today the surprise is that mine is tomorrow. As we got off at the same stop I thought perfect great start to the day. Chloe is a Londoner. She has just graduated from Westminster and is working for <a href="http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/">Calumet</a> at the moment. Chloe is also a photographer, you can see her work <a href="http://flickr.com/photos/paintedcherryred">here</a>. She told me 'I photograph anything and everything at the moment until I work out exactly what I want to do'. For her pictures she likes to shoot on film and says 'it's very expensive, but I like it'. I am purely digital now but I know there are quite a few of you out there who still have celluloid dreams. I just love the magic of digital. Isn't it great we all have a choice now. It was Chloe's red hair that caught my eye and all those lovely warm layers. Her style influence's are <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edie_Sedgwick">Edie Sedgwick</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Mosshart">Alison Mosshart</a> from the Kills. Today Chloe has put her look look together with a hat and bag from <a href="http://www.accessorize.com/">Accessorize</a>, scarf from <a href="http://www.riverisland.com/Online/">River Island</a>, charity shop jumper,  <a href="http://www.primark.co.uk/">Primark</a> jacket, <a href="http://www.hm.com/gb/#/start/">H&M</a> jeans and boots borrowed from her housemate. When I asked Chloe for something surprising about herself she told me 'I am not as old as I look.' I didn't think she looked old at all but then she told me she was 19 and I could see what she meant. She also has a wise head on those young shoulders which also gives you a different perspective on her age.

In fact when I asked her for her surprising story she said that today was her surprising story as she had been photographed so many times. She was bemused but happy. She does look great though so I am not surprised. Mizuko is from Yokohama in Japan and is working here in a Japanese restaurant. She has been in the UK for 6months now and likes it. Her style influences are, black she likes to wear black and Vivienne Westwood. She loves going to Brick Lane and Spitalfields market which is were we met. It was chilly but the sun was shining. A great excuse to wear lovely over the knee socks with shorts. How many more days will you get away with that before Spring? Aren't the ribbons in her shoes wonderful. May is a Londoner and is studying for her GCSE's. She told me she will go on to do her A'levels. She loves drama but is not sure of her direction yet. There is still time. I really feel for children and young people at the moment. They are being hit really hard. No child benefit. No new schools. Pay for ever for your university education. I am amazed they are not up in arms. I remember going on strike in school because they took too long to fix the heating and we had, had enough. Come on students time to hear your voices, where are you? OK that is my rally cry over. For style May looks to <a href="http://fashionistable.blogspot.com/2010/09/lfw-september-2010-alexa-chung.html">Alexa Chung</a> who she see's as effortlessly cool. Also Vogue for inspiration. I agree on both counts. Can you believe it she used to play Rugby. I did Kung Fu for a short while but gave it up because it hurt too much. Wonder if she gave up Rugby for the same reason? Her shirt used to be her brothers, the sweater her mums. Some great wardrobe mixing here. Shorts and socks are <a href="http://www.primark.co.uk/">Primark</a>. Her shoes are from a stall on Portobello Rd and her bag was from Columbia Rd. Her story gives us a great tour of a lot of the wonderful markets in London.

When I eventually caught up with her and started to chat I had a very strong feeling we had met before. She felt the same. I had a look through my archive when I got back home and yes we had. You can see our first encounter <a href="http://fashionistable.blogspot.com/2009/09/london-fashion-week-autumn-2009_7747.html">here</a>. Dawn is now the commercial director for <a href="http://horiyoshi-thethird.com/">Horiyoshi the Third</a>, who is a world renown tattoo artist and designer. The wonderful cape sweater Dawn is wearing is one of his designs. She told me his collections are now available in Browns, Harvey Nichols and Matches. When I asked what influenced her own style, she said happiness plays a large part and allows her to have a different style every day. Her surprise was that she has an cherry blossom tattoo on her back that Horiyoshi created for her. I would love to see it. That would make a great third image of her don't you think? An nice studio back shot. As I only interview the people I photograph after I have photographed them I didn't know Dawn's story until then. As is turns out I was very lucky with the choice of background for the shot as it incorporates two popular art forms.<br />Apart from the Cape/Sweater Dawn is wearing trousers by <a href="http://www.jbrandjeans.com/">JBrand</a>, her bag is her mums and is a <a href="http://www.mappinandwebb.com/">Mappin and Webb</a> (however looking at the link I think I may have gotten that wrong.....), <a href="http://www.valentino.com/en/">Valentino</a> sunglasses and shoes by <a href="http://www.rupertsanderson.com/docs/index.php">Rupert Sanderson</a>.

Work wise she is an Art Director. Style wise she told me she is not a shopper. When she see's what she wants in her minds eye she will then take herself out to find it. At the beginning of the summer it was a particular dress that she could see with birds on - which she did eventually find. She also loves bows and wears them in some form all the time. Her phone kept ringing while we shot. Originally from Shanghai Sonia is setting up and managing an online fashion store. She was not ready enough to tell me the name yet. Her style influences are the high street and London in general. To surprise us she told me she loves hot spicy food. Her grey top is from <a href="http://www.allsaints.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=all-saints&utm_campaign=Brand_Exact">All Saints</a>, the shorts and top below the grey one are both from <a href="http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?storeId=12556&catalogId=33057">Topshop</a>. The tights are from <a href="http://www.harrods.com/harrodsstore/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=brand&utm_campaign=ppc">Harrods</a> and had a lovely bow on the back, my back shot of her was not as good as this one so you just have to believe me. Her shoes and necklace are <a href="http://www.chanel.com/en_GB/?zone_lang=EUREN&gclid=CKX6j_zQyKQCFUM24wodOR6C3w">Chanel</a> and her clutch is <a href="http://www.ysl.com/">YSL</a>.

I passed her but had to go back to get her. Sometimes it is hard to believe your gifts are right on your doorstep.<br />She was waiting for her husband and they were going house hunting in the area. She told me the miracle of her daughter who is now 5. She is an IVF child. Like so many children of our age. Our little miracle children I see them as. Longed for, for so long. A wonderful blessing if you are lucky enough to have them come along. Vaiva was so grateful her's did she is still emotional about her 12 year journey with IVF. So, she told me everything they do now is for her daughters advantage. Vaiva works as a managers assistant in the <a href="http://www.mandarinoriental.com/">Mandarin </a>in London. Which is one of our best hotels here. I so love her boots I really want a pair. She said they were by John Baker but I cant find him or them. Her jacket is from <a href="http://www.patriziapepe.com/gb/en">Patrizia Pepe</a>, shirt <a href="http://www.escada.com/">Escada</a>, jeans she couldn't remember and her bag was bought in Lithuania which is were she is originally from.
